“Peace, Pine Island” was born from the artist's solo adventure on a relatively abandoned island in the aftermath of a major tropical storm in the community of Pine Island, Florida. On this day, with her easel set up, the artist weathered two downpours intense enough to set off running to the car with canvas in hand.
